‘An afternoon of Praise’ and Worship with Father Dave Parsch and the Music Ministry of Holy Spirit

SHIELDS — The Music Ministry of Holy Spirit Parish in Shields invites all to attend "An afternoon of Praise.” This concert event will feature the sensational talent in the parish Youth Choir, Adult Choir, Praise & Worship group, chimers, male schola, mixed instrumental ensemble and cantors. Finally the one and only Fr. Dave Parsch will be featured singing and playing his guitar to some familiar tunes.

Statement on Charges against Former School Employee

The safety and well-being of students is of the utmost concern to Catholic school leaders across the Diocese of Saginaw.

In recent months, the pastor and school administrator at St. Thomas Aquinas School were contacted by police about a complaint against Mr. Gary Moreland regarding an allegation of misconduct that occurred several years ago. Mr. Moreland was a former athletic director and coach at the school. A decision was immediately made by the pastor and school administrator that Mr. Moreland, who was currently operating the concession stand during sporting events on campus, would not be allowed on school property until the matter was resolved.

The news last week of criminal sexual conduct charges issued against Mr. Moreland is serious and sobering. Anyone with information related to the case is urged to contact Saginaw Township Police.
