Bishop Cistone Announces Clerical and Parish Assignments

SAGINAW- The Most Rev. Joseph R. Cistone, Bishop of Saginaw, announced the following clerical and parish assignments, effective July 1, 2014:

Senior Priests

Reverend Randy J. Kelly, from Pastor, St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Saginaw, to Senior Priest.

Reverend John R. Johnson, from Pastor, SS. Peter and Paul Parish, Saginaw, to Senior Priest.

Reverend John Weis, from Parochial Administrator, Holy Family Parish, Sebewaing, to Senior Priest.

Pastoral Administrators – Term Endings

The following Pastoral Administrators will complete their term of office on July 1, 2014 and will, therefore, either retire or no longer serve as Pastoral Administrators:

Sister Gail Addis, IHM, from St. Joseph Parish, Bay City.

Sister Jean Therese Baumann, OSF, from St. Athanasius Parish, Harrison.

Sister Dorothy Ann Blasko, OP, from St. Agatha Parish, Gagetown.

Reverend Robert H. Byrne will remain as Pastor, Blessed Trinity Parish, Frankenmuth.

Reverend José Maria Cabrera, from Pastor, St. Elizabeth Parish, Reese, and Parochial Administrator, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Bay City, to Pastor of All Saints Parish, Bay City. Father Cabrera will continue to serve as Vicar for Hispanic Ministry.

Reverend Richard E. Jozwiak will remain as Sacramental Minister for St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Parish, Vassar.

Special Ministry

Reverend Daniel E. Roa, from Parochial Vicar, St. James Parish and St. Boniface Parish, Bay City, as well as Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Bay City, to Prison Ministry and part time assistance to the Hispanic Ministry.

The Diocese of Saginaw remains grateful to all of its Senior Priests who, though not assigned as Sacramental Ministers, offer much needed sacramental ministry to our parishes.
