SAGINAW – The Respect Life Office for the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw has partnered with 40 Days for Life to pray for an end to abortion. 40 Days for Life is a nationwide, pro-life campaign that is focused on ending abortion in America through prayer and fasting, constant vigil and community outreach. This Wednesday, the Most Rev. Joseph R. Cistone, Bishop of Saginaw, will join local efforts by praying outside the Saginaw abortion facility.

The 40 Days for Life campaign for 2011, in which pro-life individuals maintained a prayerful presence outside the Saginaw abortion facility helped reduce the number of abortions performed at the location, and nationwide, 40 Days for Life is credited for the closing of 26 abortion facilities.

The annual 40 Days for Life campaign begins September 26 and continues through Sunday, November 4. All are welcome to spend time in prayer outside the abortion clinic. For more information, or to find out how you may participate in 40 Days for Life, click here.
