There were nearly 450 guests in attendance at the annual Bishop’s Ball Friday, April 25 at Horizon’s Conference Center in Saginaw. The evening provides an opportunity to gather together the local faith community to celebrate all that is done to continue the evangelizing mission of Jesus Christ. The host of the event, the Most Rev. Joseph R. Cistone, Bishop of Saginaw, presented the Bishop Murphy Award to Katherine Maurer of St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Parish in Vassar and Mark Morand of Our Lady of the Visitation Parish in Bay City.

The Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan also drew the winners of its Big Raffle.

In what has become a yearly tradition, Bishop Cistone entertained guests with a song. This year's selection was “Charlie on the M.T.A.”
