During the 2013 Bishop’s Charity Ball, the Most Rev. Joseph R. Cistone, Bishop of Saginaw, thanked the nearly 500 guests in attendance for their dedication of time, talent and treasure to the various ministries across the diocese.

“It is my hope that this year’s Charity Ball will inspire others to reach out to our brothers and sisters in need and that it will raise awareness about the many good things being done in the name of the Church, in our parishes and in our local communities,” Bishop CIstone said. “May our efforts be a sign of our commitment to ‘A Future Full of Hope,’ for ourselves and others. And, may our friends in need, through our acts of charity and justice, know that they are deeply loved and never alone.”

During the charity ball, Bishop Cistone also presented the 2013 Bishop Murphy Award to two recipients, Kenn Bueche and Sister Marietta Fritz, S.N.D. de N.
