New Car and Trip to Rome will be Raffled Off Tonight during Event to Benefit Parishes and Catholic Schools
SAGINAW — The Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan’s BIG Raffle celebration will take place this evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Horizons Conference Center in Saginaw Township. The BIG Raffle raises funds to support the evangelizing mission of the Church and proceeds benefit parishes and Catholic schools located across the Diocese of Saginaw.
In the last few months, more than 25,000 BIG Raffle tickets have been sold in communities across the diocese. The winning tickets
will be drawn during the celebration this evening. Top prizes include: a new Chevrolet Spark (McDonald Chevrolet), a trip for two to Rome, Italy (A-M Church supply), a $5,000 home improvement project (R.C. Hendrick & Son), a laptop computer (Yeo & Yeo CPAs & Business Consultants), an iPad (Looby & Baumgarten P.C.), and three $1,000 prizes.
The BIG Raffle, which began as part of the annual Bishop’s Charity Ball, has become an event of its own. More than $300,000 has been raised since 2011. Tickets to attend tonight’s event, which includes the raffle, an artists’ auction, great hors d’oeuvres and beverages must be purchased in advance.
The Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan (CCFMM) is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to supporting the ministries of the Diocese of Saginaw.
