Saginaw — The parish community of St. John Vianney Catholic Church invites the public to experience Taize’ prayer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14. Taize’ prayer is expressed through simple and peaceful meditative singing about the deep mysteries of faith.
This prayer experience includes singers, as well as a pianist and a flutist providing music by candlelight inside the church. In addition to music, there also will be opportunities for those present to sit in silent meditation as a way of entering deeply into the final days of preparation for Christmas. A candlelight setting provides a spiritual atmosphere of peaceful and attentive waiting on the birth of Jesus. There is no charge to attend the Taize’ and all are welcome.
