Rev. Loren Kalinowski, pastor of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Mt. Pleasanat, shared his vocation story during the Bishop’s Charity Golf Classic for the Diocese of Saginaw. Father Kalinowskispoke about the young priest who invited him to visit St. Paul Seminary and his own parents who encouraged him to give priesthood a chance.

The Catholic Diocese of Saginaw currently has six men enrolled in seminary as they discern God’s call to the priesthood.

 

The Bishop’s Charity Golf Classic was established in 2006 to benefit seminary education. Since that time, 17 men have been ordained to the priesthood to serve the people of God across the 11-county diocese.

The Diocese of Saginaw includes 105 parish communities located throughout Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Isabella, Midland, Sanilac, Saginaw and Tuscola counties.
