SAGINAW — Many women today struggle to balance a busy home life with a professional career and a commitment to prayer life. In caring for their families and working in or outside the home, most women, at times, feel physically and emotionally exhausted. This April, women are encouraged to energize themselves spiritually by treating themselves to a weekend retreat at the diocesan Center for Ministry.
The women’s retreat, “Capture my Heart Again,” will be lead by Caroline Gambale Dirkes, a dynamic Catholic retreat leader who has spoken internationally at numerous retreats and conferences, and has recently teamed up with Rev. Raniero Cantalamessa, O.F.M. Cap, Preacher to the Papal Household. Leanne Osborn, a certified leader of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius who holds a Master’s degree in Systematic Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia, also will contribute to the retreat.
“This weekend retreat will help us to identify the things that are holding us captive and to seek the Lord anew, allowing him to capture our hearts again,” Gambale Dirkes said.
All women are invited to spend the weekend together with other women, in fellowship, worship, inspirational talks, prayer, and laughter.
