Guest Services Representative
Center for Ministry Diocese of Saginaw

The Center for Ministry is seeking an energetic, hospitality driven person to fill the position of Guest Service Representative. The Guest Service Representative ensures our guests receive the highest standard of service and Catholic hospitality in the reception, food service, and housekeeping service at the Center for Ministry. This is a part time position (up to 20 hours per week) that includes evening and weekend shifts with variable hours per shift.

Job Responsibilities:
Preparing and serving food and beverages
Clean-up wherever food and beverages are prepared or served
Dishwashing operation
Banquet set-up and assistance with other employees
Dining room set-up and clean-up
Keeping kitchen floors and surfaces clean
Ability to process food deliveries
Understanding and staying current with the food code of the State of Michigan
Provide housekeeping services as needed
Assist in the guest registration process
Providing receptionist & clerical support as needed
Supply overnight staff coverage as requested at the Center for Ministry
Perform other duties as assigned or requested by Supervisor or Management

*Understanding and ability to provide Catholic hospitality contributing to a welcoming and attentive atmoshpere for the guests of the Center for Ministry.
*Ability to multi-task and perform tasks within allotted time frames
* Excellent verbal and written communciation skills
*Proficient with computers
*ServSafe certified or the ability to become certified upon employment
*High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years work related experience in guest services

Knowledge in the food service/hospitality/customer service industry preferred.

Faith Formation Co-Director
St. Michael Parish - New Lothrop

St. Michael Parish in New Lothrop is seeking a Co-Director of Faith Formation. This is a full-time position. The Faith Formation needs of St. Michael Parish require the continuing development and coordination of the following programs: Sacramental (Reconciliation, Confirmation, Eucharist), Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Level I & II), Vacation Bible School, SPRED, Youth Groups, planning seasonal family events (Advent, Lent), recruiting and training new catechists, and coordinating activities with neighboring parishes.

Faith Formation Director
St. Agnes Parish - Freeland

St. Agnes Parish in Freeland is seeking a Faith Formation Director responsible for life-long education. The Pastoral Staff offers support in this endeavor. Experience with whole community catechesis and sacramental preparation would be helpful. We seek a faith-filled person who has professional credentials and experience in faith formation. We would like this position to include youth ministry. Full or part time applications will be considered.

Develop the Faith Formation curriculum for the parish in consultation and cooperation with the pastor, pastoral associate & Education Commission and Diocesan directives and guidelines.
Provide catechists and catechetical team members with training and support necessary to be successful in their ministry to the parish members.

Choir Director
Christ the Good Shepherd Parish - Saginaw

Choir Director, part time at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish Saginaw. Responsible for planning and for leading the choir, instrumentalists and assembly at the two weekend masses and on Holy Days.

Job Responsibilities:
Direct choir, cantors, instrumentalist and encourage the active participation of the assembly at weekend liturgies, holy days and penance services.
Conduct weekly practice with choir/cantors/instrumentalist.
Plan music on a monthly or seasonal basis for all weekend and holy day liturgies, following diocesan direction.
Recruit, train, direct and supervise choir, cantors and instrumentalists.
Prepare schedules for choir, cantors and instrumentalist.
Be part of all special liturgy planning groups.
Filing, sorting, and disposal of all music according to copyright laws. Maintain our licensees with music companies.
Provide appropriate communication to the community regarding musical forms used in liturgies, seasonal variations, or upcoming activities.
Encourage participation in local workshops to the Music Ministry.
Have an understanding of the Document of Music in Catholic Worship.
Attend the Worship Commission meetings when needed.
