A Pastoral Administrator is a Catholic in good standing who participates in the pastoral care of the parish in accord with canon 517.2. Receiving an appointment from the Bishop of Saginaw, the Pastoral Administrator assists the Bishop in the direction and administration of the parish. Ministries include: Worship and Spirituality; Education, Catechesis and Evangelization; Pastoral Service; Administration

Responsibilities of the Pastoral Administrator include, but are not limited to, guiding the life of the parish by leading or participating in:

  • Parish Pastoral Council, commissions, committees, and organizations
  • Parish Finance Council
  • Parish staff
  • Cohort and area vicariate meetings
  • Diocesan quarterly meetings, pastoral committees and commissions
  • Ecumenical and ministerial associations

Job Description

Masters of Divinity (M Div) preferred; Masters in Theology (MAT), Masters in Religious Education (MRE), Masters in Theological Studies (MTS), or Masters in Pastoral Theology (MAPT) also considered, or at least well-versed in these disciplines.

Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in full time parish ministry; must possess good interpersonal skills and participate in on-going spiritual formation.

Catholic Family Service is seeking a a counselor to provide social work services on a part-time basis at Nouvel Central Junior High (located at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Saginaw.
