Summary
Sacred Heart Academy, a DK-12 Catholic School committed to the mission of Jesus Christ, is seeking a principal who will not only lead academic and personnel management, but promote faith development within the school community. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: curriculum and student learning, personnel management, public relations and communications, strategic and long-range planning and facility management. The principal reports directly to the Pastor and is responsible to the School Board for the implementation of the Mission Statement of the Academy. The principal has the authority and responsibility for day-to-day operations and management of the school.

Qualifications
Must be a practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church who can create a vibrant student culture
A Master’s Degree or higher in educational administration/leadership from an accredited college or university
Minimum three (3) years administrative experience in education which includes budgeting and personnel management
Preferred qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years experience as a teacher
Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Catholic school
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to guide effective interaction among parents, students and staff
Ability to recognize and appoint competent people to positions of leadership
Ability to resolve conflict in the spirit of a Catholic faith climate and foster academic professionalism among the staff
