Guest Services Representative
Center for Ministry Diocese of Saginaw

Summary
The Center for Ministry is seeking an energetic, hospitality driven person to fill the position of Guest Service Representative. The Guest Service Representative ensures our guests receive the highest standard of service and Catholic hospitality in the reception, food service, and housekeeping service at the Center for Ministry. This is a part time position (up to 20 hours per week) that includes evening and weekend shifts with variable hours per shift.

Job Responsibilities:
Preparing and serving food and beverages
Clean-up wherever food and beverages are prepared or served
Dishwashing operation
Banquet set-up and assistance with other employees
Dining room set-up and clean-up
Keeping kitchen floors and surfaces clean
Ability to process food deliveries
Understanding and staying current with the food code of the State of Michigan
Provide housekeeping services as needed
Assist in the guest registration process
Providing receptionist & clerical support as needed
Supply overnight staff coverage as requested at the Center for Ministry
Perform other duties as assigned or requested by Supervisor or Management

Qualifications
*Understanding and ability to provide Catholic hospitality contributing to a welcoming and attentive atmoshpere for the guests of the Center for Ministry.
*Ability to multi-task and perform tasks within allotted time frames
* Excellent verbal and written communciation skills
*Proficient with computers
*ServSafe certified or the ability to become certified upon employment
*High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years work related experience in guest services

Knowledge in the food service/hospitality/customer service industry preferred.
