RETREATS [2007-08]

Weekend retreats begin with registration on Friday, between 6 and 7 p.m. A social hour begins at 7 p.m. and the retreat opens at 7:45 p.m. The retreat ends on Sunday following lunch at noon. All retreats cost $135. A $35 deposit will secure a reservation for a retreat. The balance is due at time of Retreat.   • LIVING IN ORDINARY TIME
    with Father William Fitzgerald
    September 21- 23, 2007

    This retreat will focus on praying through a set of reflections from the Sundays of Ordinary Time (Cycle A, 2008). It will draw from St. Paul (Corinthians, Romans and Phillipians), from the Year of the Eucharist and from our consecration and dedication in time.

  • JESUS COMES TODAY: Eucharist and Eucharistic Devotion

    In this Advent retreat, we deepen our appreciation of ourselves as a Eucharistic people. Jesus brings us to a foretaste of heaven in the Eucharistic celebration. Through the Eucharistic celebration we are strengthened to be what Jesus came to be: Word made flesh. We also explore the meaning and practice of Eucharistic devotion.

    Since we live in a world filled with distorted images of what it means to be a man, we will reflect on true masculinity.
  • MID-WEEK GROUP DIRECTED RETREAT
    with the Center for Ministry Staff

    A Group Directed Retreat is an opportunity to pray with Scripture, spend the day in quiet reflection. There will be opportunity to share the fruits of the day each evening. Day will include: Morning Praise, a morning gathering to receive direction on prayer each day, Eucharistic liturgy, evening prayer and sharing.
  • THE SECOND WEEK OF ST. IGNATIUS' SPIRITUAL EXERCISES

    Through the Spiritual Exercises we will reflect on the life of Jesus.
  • LENTEN SCRIPTURAL RETREAT

  • THE DISCERNMENT OF SPIRITS IN OUR DAILY LIFE

    A retreat that will deal with the movement of the Spirit in our ordinary life.
  • WOMEN'S RETREAT: Finding God in the Reality of Life
    with Sister Theresa Galvan, CND
    March 28 – 30, 2008

    The retreat will be grounded in four basic assumptions. The spiritual life: 1. Is rooted in reality; 2. Parallels all phases of life; 3. Requires community; and 4. Requires Sabbath time.There will be input and quiet contemplative time.
  • VOCATION DISCERNMENT RETREAT
    with Bishop Robert J. Carlson
    April 11 - 13, 2008

    An opportunity for men, ages 17 to 35, to pray and discern their vocation, with an emphasis on the vocation to the priesthood.
