A Prayer for “A Future Full of Hope”

Father of mercy and love, we come to you in prayer as we make this journey of faith and trust. 

In your providence you sent your Son into the word to free us from the bondage of sin and enrich us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He sent His disciples to be bearers of His love and power and to proclaim the Gospel of life to all peoples. 

We recommit ourselves, as a diocese, to carry the Gospel of Christ to all those entrusted to our care. This is a time of great challenge but also of great opportunity. Strengthened by Your word, we set our eyes on “a future full of hope.” We ask your guidance and pray that your Spirit may enlighten our hearts and minds during this process of reflection and reorganization. 

Shower us with your blessings on this prophetic journey. Give us patience and courage that we may reflect honestly upon our mission and ministries. Empower us to formulate recommendations and implement plans which will enhance the vitality of parish life and strengthen our efforts to bring about a new evangelization and sustain us to see this task to its completion. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our savior and brother.
