On Sunday, Nov. 1, we celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints followed by the Commemoration of All Souls on Nov. 2.
On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Father Jose Cabrera (photo above), Father Andy Booms, Deacon Stanley Kuczynski, Larry Rodarte, Lori Becker, Peg McEvoy and Mark Graveline all took part in an online presentation entitled "Why do Catholics Celebrate All Souls' Day?"
The presenters discussed ways to honor deceased loved ones, the blessing of faith in times of grief and the meaning of All Souls’ Day. They also shared stories and experiences of All Souls’ Day in Mexico, Poland and Peru.

Larry Rodarte is a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Saginaw and serves as Executive Director of the Great Lakes Bay Regional Hispanic Business Association. Deacon Stanley Kuczynski serves as Deacon at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish in Bay City. Lori Becker serves as Respect Life Coordinator for the Diocese of Saginaw.
