In his homily message, Bishop Cistone thanked the migrant workers for the role they have in assisting farmers across the diocese. He reminded them that Jesus provides Himself for each of them in the Eucharist and is always there for them.

"Just as you help nourish us, God helps nourish you with His Son, Jesus," he said.

Following the celebration of Mass, Bishop Cistone and Father Cabrera blessed the house where the migrant workers working in Mid-Michigan over the summer months are living. They also blessed a couple celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary.

The Diocese of Saginaw has a long-standing commitment to migrant ministry and the faithful of the diocese continue to generously support this ministry through donations of food and clothes to migrant workers, as well as through their contributions to the Catholic Services Appeal.
